When we make a change in this record we risk this stop functioning properly and thus, our operating system will no longer do so and also without backup, it is very difficult to restore proper operation.

There are programs that make backup copies of our record, however, these copies are not recommended because they can sometimes perform poorly and cause problems when restoring or may even change some elementary system inputs to introduce spyware or values them interest for different purposes. To back up the registry must make us manually and having problems, be ourselves whom we restore.
How to create backup registry.
To perform this backup first thing to do is open the Windows registry editor. To do this executes “regedit” from the window “Run” of our operating system to display a window similar to the following.
To make a full backup of this we press the right button on “Computer” and select “Export”.
We will ask for a name and location to save the full backup.
The creation of the copy will take more or less time depending on the size of it, so it is optimized and capabilities of your computer. Once the copy is complete we will have a single file in our system that contain all the saved registration lists to retrieve them if a problem occurs during installation, removal, cleaning or modification.
How to restore a backup of the Windows registry
Restore the backup is much easier. If you have administrator permissions only thing we do is double click on it and automatically all entries from the backup will be imported, and click on Yes
We may see an error when restoring the copy that tells us that some entries could not be imported because the originals were already in use and could not be deleted. A part of them, all other changes will be implemented smoothly and the only thing left before us is to reboot the system to verify proper operation.
We should note that it is not advisable to restore old backups as it can create problems, for example, with applications that have installed after copying and do not have corresponding entries in this. Also they have been able to make some changes in the system than in the old copies can cause malfunction of some components.
The ideal way to make use of these backups of the registry is, first, to back just before the amendments. Once we see that the system works properly restore the eliminated to avoid later. In the event of system malfunction we restore it before making any further adjustments to return to the starting point before the changes.
