Windows registry editor or regedit is one of the secret functions of the system and allows us to access many other features. But it is as I said, it is very important that you follow the instructions carefully when you are preparing to tweak some of this important tool for Windows.

The Windows registry is the place where all the internal configuration of the operating system is saved, so that configuration change is dangerous and can create instabilities or directly disable the system.
Despite everything said, sometimes edit the Windows registry is the only way to adapt the system to our needs. For this reason, there is a tool called regedit with which you can edit the Windows registry.
Method :1
From the search for Windows 10
The first method is perhaps the most intuitive for the most inexperienced.
Since the beginning of Windows 10 uses the “Windows Search” to type “regedit“. It appears as the first result of the registry editor, which we click for it to start.

Keyboard shortcut Windows + R
Using keyboard shortcuts Windows + X or by right-clicking on the start icon and selecting execute, we can launch this window. In this window, if we type regedit and run, launch the registry editor of Windows 10.

From the command prompt
The command prompt is a legacy MSDOS terminal, with which we can move through directories, launch applications and commands of all kinds. We can access the ” Command Prompt ” by right-clicking on the icon and selecting the Start command prompt. Another way to run accessing the window mentioned in the previous step and typing cmd.
Once in the “Command Prompt” It simply enters regedit to launch the Registry Editor of Windows 10.

After applying anyone method from above you will see the following User Account Control “UAC“. This UAC will confirm “Do you want to allow this app to make a change to your device?“. So if you want to open Windows Registry Editor tool you should click on “Yes”
