attributes disk set readonly

Now you will the message “Disk attributes set successfully.” Now again apply attributes disk command to verify that Read-only attribute is changed into Yes

Current Read-only State: Yes

Read-only  : Yes
Boot Disk  : No
Pagefile Disk  : No
Hibernation File Disk  : No
Crashdump Disk  : No
Clustered Disk  : No

Now we can see that Read-only: Yes.

Now USB is in Read-only State, Now you can plug in the USB in other PCs. Now USB is Protected from the virus because it is now in read-only state.

So when you want to add or delete data you have to follow these steps.

In the CMD window type or copy diskpart

List disk

Select disk 1

attributes disk clear readonly
